This policy explains what personal information Kin Finance Limited ("Kin Finance", "we", "us") collects, why, and your rights. We are the data controller for the information described here.

Information you enter in our apps
KinStream, KinTrip and KinPlay save the information you enter in your web browser's storage on your own device. It is not sent to us, and we cannot see, access or recover it. This includes any family members' first names you add, which are stored on your device only.
If you save a backup file, that file is stored wherever you choose. You are responsible for keeping it safe and for anyone you share it with.

Who we share it with
We use service providers to host this website and receive form submissions (Netlify), handle email (our email hosting provider) and collect newsletter sign-ups (Netlify). They process information only on our instructions. We do not sell personal information.
If any provider stores information outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.
How long we keep it
- Emails: up to 2 years after our last contact with you.
- Early access requests: up to 12 months after the apps launch, or until you ask us to delete them.
- Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs: up to 30 days.
The newsletter
We only send the newsletter if you tick the box on the early access form. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in every email, or by contacting us.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to access, correct or delete your personal information, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To make a request, email hello@kinfinance.co.uk.
You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
